Luch breaks 10 Months, 3 Weeks ago

This subject has baffled me for some years. We have a situation where some employees feel it is OK to work through their lunch break [and eat whilst working]and knock off early. The reason we have lunch breaks apart from pacifying that hunger pang, it is to rest the thinking mechanism that so often leads to mental fatigue. Does anyone have an opinion should we enforce a half hour stop or turn a blind eye?

Peter
I definitely enforce the requirement of employees taking their lunch breaks.
I agree with you in regards to the need to rest the mind.
but not only this, eating while they are working introduces new hazards including possible ingestion of some not very nice things (depending on the type of work they are doing while eating).
